This seminar describes the Purdue Enterprise
Reference Architecture (PERA) including, examples from various industries, and
how to apply it to your enterprise. It addresses the main principles of PERA

- Purdue Reference Model for CIM including Generic
Reference Data Flow Models.
- Example Logical System Architectures from various
industries.
- Physical Systems Architecture Concepts including
"Levels" and the "4Rs" (Response Resolution, Reliability and Repairability).

the PERA Framework.

Policies
Minimum Class SizeThis course may be requested at
your premises for class sizes of 6 or more. A 50% discount will be applied for
additonal attendees from the same company. Instructor's travel and living costs
will billed separately from Houston Texas or Lafayette Indiana to client site.
PaymentFull payment must be received at least 5
business days prior to the first day of the class.
Cancellations If the registrant notifies Enterprise
Consultants within 10 business days before the start of the program, a 95%
refund will be issued. If Enterprise Consultants does not receive notification
within 10 business days, no refund will be issued. However, a substitute may
attend that program in place of the registrant. If payment is made by purchase
order, full payment is expected regardless of cancellations.
Who Should Attend
This seminar is designed for those
who require a general introduction to PERA concepts, but do not plan to
actually prepare master plans or implement projects. Candidates might include
enterprise management, engineers, system analysts, programmers and others who
will work on projects and in enterprises where PERA principals are applied.
Faculty:Dr Ted Williams and Gary
Rathwell. Dr. Williams is Professor Emeritus at Purdue University, and
through his Purdue Laboratory for Automation and Control, originated PERA and
many of the associated tools and concepts. Gary Rathwell has been applying PERA
to major projects and corporations for over a decade. He is a co-developer of
the PERA concepts and documentation and is the author of the PERA public
information web site.
